By installing or using the SusKat browser extension ("the Extension", "SusKat", "we", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Extension.

Description of Service

SusKat is a browser extension that provides:

• Scam detection - Identifies potentially fraudulent websites
• Phishing protection - Warns about known phishing sites
• Malware alerts - Flags sites distributing malware
• Suspicious behavior detection - Identifies concerning website practices

The Extension uses a combination of local analysis and backend threat intelligence to assess website safety.

Important Disclaimers

Not a Guarantee

• A "safe" rating does not guarantee a website is legitimate
• A "suspicious" rating does not definitively mean a site is fraudulent
• New threats may not be detected immediately
• Some legitimate sites may trigger false positives

Use Your Judgment

SusKat is a tool to assist your decision-making, not replace it. You remain responsible for:

• Verifying website legitimacy independently
• Protecting your personal and financial information
• Using secure payment methods with buyer protection
• Conducting due diligence before making purchases

Limitation of Liability

1. No Warranty - SusKat is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
2. No Liability for Damages - We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to:
   • Financial losses from transactions on websites we failed to detect as fraudulent
   • Losses from websites we incorrectly flagged as safe
   • Business interruption or lost profits
   • Data loss or security breaches
3. Maximum Liability - In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the Extension (which is $0 for the free version).

User Responsibilities

By using SusKat, you agree to:

1. Accurate Reporting - Submit truthful and accurate reports when flagging websites
2. No Abuse - Not use the reporting system to maliciously target legitimate websites
3. No Reverse Engineering - Not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
4. No Commercial Use - Not use our threat data or APIs for commercial purposes without permission
5. Compliance with Laws - Use the Extension in compliance with all applicable laws

Reporting and Community Contribution

When you report a website:

• Your report becomes part of our community threat intelligence
• We may use aggregated report data to improve detection
• We reserve the right to reject reports we determine to be inaccurate or abusive
• Repeated abuse of the reporting system may result in blocking

Intellectual Property

• SusKat and its detection algorithms are protected by intellectual property rights
• The Extension is licensed for personal use only
• You may not copy, modify, or distribute the Extension without permission
• Our mascot, branding, and visual design are proprietary

Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue any feature without notice
• Update these Terms at any time
• Change our threat detection algorithms
• Add or remove data sources

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of new Terms.

Termination

• You may stop using SusKat at any time by uninstalling the Extension
• We may terminate or suspend access for violations of these Terms
• We may discontinue the service entirely with reasonable notice

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through appropriate legal channels.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
